One of the two people arrested in a Bay Shore drug bust Friday pleaded not guilty to a slew of charges.

Police arrested Remon Gibson, 38, and Maudene Bean inside the home where they found 1,000 grams of crack-cocaine, $16,000 in cash, a loaded shotgun and a .38-caliber revolver.

Police say there were three young children home at the time of the raid.

Gibson had no comment after his arraignment. His attorney, Christopher Cassar, says the children in the home were “no way anytime harmed in any way.”

“It's my understanding that the items were found in a safe in the basement – not in an area where there were children,” says Cassar.

He also says there were no drugs sold on the grounds of Bay Shore High School, which is only 100 feet from the home.

The District Attorney's Office says Gibson is employed as a personal trainer. They also say the 38-year-old has federal drug trafficking charges in another state, but no warrants or violations in New York.

Gibson’s bail was set at $300,000 cash or $600,000 bond. He’s due back in court next week.
