A Brooklyn bodega is filling its shelves not with food -- but books.
The Brooklyn Book Bodega is encouraging kids to read more with its event that gives kids of all ages access to more than 100 books.
The event allows kids to come and choose books that they can keep -- and they're all free of charge.
All of the books from the event are donated.
Organizers say they want to give kids from all backgrounds access to books as a way to build their personal libraries and to help foster a love for books.
The event is a seasonal pop-up, in partnership with the Ingersoll Community Center.
Kids also have the chance to enjoy story yoga and create 3D subway cars.
Organizers say they're hoping the book bodega will continue to grow with each event.
