A Bed-Stuy father has been arrested and charged with manslaughter in the death of his 2-month-old child over the weekend.
Police arrested Quincy Pierre, 19, Saturday. His son, Nikalli Major, was found unconscious and unresponsive in the family's home at 12 Cornelia St. Friday morning.
According to court records, Pierre admitted to injuring his son, saying he twisted both of the infant's legs and forcefully pressed down on the infant's rib area with his hands. Records also show that he says he shook him multiple times and held the boy on his side while twisting him rapidly.
The medical examiner's office says the cause of death is blunt force injuries.
