Dyker Heights residents concerned with speeding issue after 2-car accident

Dyker Heights residents are asking the city to help with a speeding issue after a two-car accident Thursday morning.
The two-car accident happened around 9 a.m. on 86th Street. Neighbors told News 12 one car was stopped at a light when another car came speeding down the street and crashed into the other.
The crash left a car on the sidewalk and another on top of a porch.
Police can't confirm if there are any injuries at this time. Neighbors who heard the crash say speeding is a constant issue.
Sen. Andrew Gounardes and Councilman Justin Brannan tell News 12 they are aware of the ongoing speeding problem, and are asking residents to slow down.
Vision Zero reports over a dozen pedestrians have been injured on 86th Street in the first eight months of 2019.
