Crews responded to a fuel spill Saturday afternoon on Clinton Street in Park Slope.
Fire officials say the call came in shortly after 12 p.m. for a tanker that was leaking fuel. Fire crews used foam to suppress vapors from the fuel and lessen the risk of a fire or explosion.
Officials say about 1,000 gallons of gasoline had been spilled.
Con Ed crews were at the scene to supervise the operation and help prevent the fuel from going into a manhole.
Two buildings were ordered to shelter in place while the response was under way.
No injuries were reported.
