Police seek driver who struck 12-year-old boy, left him with serious injuries

Police in Watchung are searching for the driver who struck a 12-year-old boy and kept going, leaving him with serious injuries.
The boy was struck Tuesday around 6:55 p.m. on Valley Road.
According to police, the boy was crossing the road when he was struck by the vehicle, which then drove away from the scene.
Police say there were other juveniles on the scene with the boy, but they were not struck or injured.
Police are looking for a white Hyundai, possibly with front end damage.
The boy was hospitalized with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
He is reportedly in stable condition.
