Brooklyn artists opened their doors at the Brooklyn Army Terminal Sunday for the annual Open Studios event.
Nearly 100 artists, including painters, photographers and sculptors showcased their artwork. Some of the works took years to create.
The event gives artists from the Chashama organization an opportunity to let the public into their world of art at the Brooklyn Army Terminal's art center in Sunset Park.
The Chashama organization helps to support the artists by giving them subsidized studio spaces to create their work.
Artists have access to the space year-round to create art that they can showcase and sell in the annual Open Studios event.
Organizers say the Chashama organization's goal is to provide artists with opportunities in their effort to keep the arts alive in the city.
This is the second day of the weekend-long event.
