Police: Driver wanted for hit-and-run in Huntington Station parking lot

Suffolk police are asking for the public's help in the investigation of a Huntington Station hit-and-run.
Investigators say the male driver of a multicolor pickup truck hit three people outside of the Three Stars Restaurant on West Hills Road on Oct. 13 at 4:30 a.m. On Monday, detectives released an image of the driver’s unique vehicle caught from surveillance video in the area of the incident. They say it has a white bed with a chrome smoke stack in it.
People who saw the surveillance video say the driver left the bar, ran to the pickup truck, hit the people who were standing in the parking lot and then took off down West Hills Road.
Sgt. Joseph Barbanera says, “We don't know if something happened in the bar, where he ran out of there, hopped in the car and drove through everyone, or if it was someone he was arguing with is one of the victims, and he intentionally hit them, or he was just intoxicated.”

Police say the man and two women that were struck by the pickup truck were not seriously injured.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $5,000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-220-TIPS.
