The Flatlands Library is back in business after being closed for renovations.
The library was shut down for about three months for renovations costing about $500,000, which was secured by Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein.
The goal of this project was to create more space for anyone stopping by.
To celebrate this reopening, Weinstein participated in a ribbon-cutting Wednesday morning and read to children from P.S. 207.
News 12 is told they've increased space at the branch by about 25%.
Some of the updates include a brand new 800-square foot multipurpose room which can hold about 65 people.
Library workers say the money was also used to pay for a new heating and cooling system.
The library officially opened at 10 a.m.
