Police: 30-year-old juice bar owner shot, bystander attacks gunman

Police responded to a shooting inside a juice bar in Allerton late Wednesday night that left one man hurt.
It happened around 10:30 p.m. inside the Healthy Juice Bar on Adee Avenue.
Police say a 37-year-old man heard the gunshots inside the bodega and ran inside to find the suspect standing over the juice bar owner with the gun still in his hand. News 12 is told that man struggled with the man holding the gun before punching the suspect. The gun was left at the scene, but the suspect ran away.
The shooting victim, a 30-year-old man, suffered wounds to his torso. He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi where he is in serious, but stable condition. Those that know the Healthy Juice Bar owner describe him as a family man and an all around good guy who is liked in the neighborhood.
No arrests have been made.
Police say they believe the suspect is 5 foot 9 and was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and has dreadlocks.
