Brooklyn DA releases secret list of police officers the office doesn't trust

Posted: Updated:

The Brooklyn District Attorney's Office has released a secret list of police officers that the office doesn't trust.

The list came out following a Freedom of Information Law request from Gothamist and WNYC.

The names were taken from 53 cases between 2008 to 2019 in which officers had their testimonies discredited or called into question, according to Gothamist.

It goes on to say that it was a partial release and that there are other confidential police misconduct records protected by a state statute.
