Police: Man wanted for striking man with handgun, hitting car mirror apprehended

Police say they have apprehended the man wanted in connection to two incidents in Prospect Lefferts Gardens that happened earlier this month.
The man has been identified as 30-year-old Nerron Purcell.
Investigators say one incident happened when Purcell struck a 23-year-old man in the back of the head with a handgun on Nov. 8.
On the same day, officials say Purcell yelled at a 55-year-old woman who was sitting inside a parked car nearby before hitting a sideview mirror.
Purcell has been charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and criminal mischief.
