Man accused of being a drug trafficker goes before judge Tuesday

Posted: Updated:

NYPD seized a shipment of more than 100 pounds of what they believed to be marijuana.

Ronen Levy, who claims the plants were legal, went before a judge Tuesday. He faces several charges, including operating as a major trafficker.

Officers in the 75th Precinct seized 106 pounds of a plant at the beginning of the month.

Levy says the plants are legal CBD flowers that were being shipped to his and his brothers CBD business in East New York and have all the proper documentation for the plants.

The case was adjourned until Dec. 2.
