Dozens of children in need went on a holiday shopping spree with police officers at the Gateway Target Saturday.
The NYPD took part in the Heroes and Helpers program by Target, helping 90 children pick out toys on their wish list.
Rodney Greenidge, of the 75th Precinct, says the event is always a pleasure for the officers.
“It's always good to bring the community together with the police officers. Officers are very excited they look forward to it every single year,” he says.
Each child was given $150 to spend in the store.
