6 firefighters injured in Sunset Park warehouse fire

A four-alarm fire at a Sunset Park air conditioner warehouse injured six firefighters Wednesday night.
It took several hours to get the flames under control, and none of the firefighters were seriously injured. Firefighters say they spotted heavy fire when they arrived at the 45th Street warehouse just before 9 a.m.
Charlie Soto was next door and ran out to check out what was happening. "No warning no nothing. It was just like a slight smell of something smoldering. We came out and all the smoke was just billowing out," said Soto.
The FDNY drone went up to check the full extent of the flames.  Officials say six firefighters of the 168 fire personnel on the scene had minor injuries while dousing the flames.
Natural Grid tells News 12 that natural gas lines were not affected. Con Edison also tells News 12 that a neighbor reported flickering lights.
Electricity to the building affected by the fire was turned off.
