Connecticut leaders remember victims of Sandy Hook 7 years after shooting

Saturday marks seven years since the Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown.
Gov. Ned Lamont ordered flags to fly at half-staff in remembrance of the 20 children and six adults who were killed at the elementary school on Dec. 14, 2012.

Connecticut leaders took to Twitter to remember the victims and call for an end to gun violence.
A mother of one of the victims used her daughter's platform to spread love.
Nelba Marquez-Greene started the nonprofit, The Ana Grace Project, in honor of her daughter.
The Ana Grace Project teamed up with Central Connecticut State University for a community drive on Friday. Dozens of volunteers collected food, winter clothes and toys for families in need with the message "Love Wins."
"I think it's a good way to channel some energy--both sad, and you know, joyful on a day like this," Marquez Greene said.
Organizers are hoping to serve more than 1,000 families.
