Thousands of students and parents came together Sunday to participate in STEM interactive activities at the Park Slope YMCA.
The City of Science was organized by the World Science Festival. Each year, it holds the event in each borough.
There are about 30 different activities all created by people who work in STEM professions.
Organizers say 9,000 people attended. One student told News 12 he put into practice things he had learned in the classroom.
World Science Festival partnered with Con Edison for the event, which had support from many local politicians including Sen. Chuck Schumer and Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.
Organizers say they want students to know that science, technology, engineering and math can be a lot of fun.
