Police have released disturbing video of a man they say broke into a Borough Park home with a knife while the owner was asleep.
Police say the man wanted for questioning got into the victim’s home through an unlocked back door.
The suspect is seen on video walking with a knife in his hand throughout the 65-year-old victim’s kitchen.
Detectives say the attempted robbery happened early Saturday morning near Fort Hamilton Parkway and 54th Street.
The victim woke up when he heard loud noise and police say he acted by slamming his bedroom door shut scaring the suspect away.
The homeowners say the suspect picked the wrong house, stating they have cameras both inside and outside their home.
Police tell News 12 no belongings were taken from the home and that no arrests have been made.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
