While some may be celebrating Christmas at home with family, thousands headed to the Nighthawk Theater in Park Slope during the busiest day of the year.
Staff members say the theater doubled their normal number of show times, even opening five hours early to accommodate the rush.
Several showings of the Daniel Craig murder-mystery "Knives Out" and the drama, "Little Women," are completely sold out. Staff also say all screenings of "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker" had only one or two seats left available - if that.
They say over 3,000 moviegoers went to the theater. Staff tell News 12 they will be as busy on New Year's Day and to get tickets in advance.
