The NYPD released body camera footage Friday from a police-involved shooting in Gowanus back in October.
Video shows two officers open fire with 30-year-old Nasheem Prioleau at the NYCHA Gowanus Houses on Oct. 15.
NYPD Chief of Department Terrence Monahan said the officers saw Prioleau shooting at another man. They said they told him to drop his weapon several times.
Prioleau died from his injuries.
Officials say investigations into the use of force in this incident are still ongoing.
"In this specific investigation, follow-up interviews are still being conducted and video evidence is still under review. We do not draw any conclusions about whether an officer's actions were consistent with department policy and the law until all the facts are known," said Sgt. Carlos Nieves, with the Public Information Division.
