Bay Ridge residents: Noisy school causing headaches for community

Bay Ridge residents are calling on the city to put up a wall outside a school that's causing a headache for more than a dozen neighbors.
Noise, trash, and a fear of children hurting themselves on their property are some of the concerns from neighbors living behind PS/IS 30's schoolyard.
They told News 12 the disruption has become unbearable.
Neighbors say the sound of the noisy school yard causes the most distraction from 10 a.m. until noon. They say it affects them yearlong.
Neighbors told News 12 that they can also hear teachers using a bullhorn that rings through their homes. They added that calls to the police, local officials and several meetings with the principal have not resolved their dilemma.
They say one of their main concerns is also students climbing the fence and coming onto their property. They say they hope the city steps in and raises the height of the fence.
News 12 has reached out to the school and the Department of Education but has not heard back yet.
