Free indoor skate park opens in Bushwick

Posted: Updated:

The popular Vans clothing and sneaker company now has its own free indoor skate park in Bushwick.

It is the first cement indoor skate park in the borough.

The skate park, which has been open for three weeks, allows up to 50 skaters in the space at a time after RSVPing for one of the park's daily sessions.

It also features a special session for children on the weekends.

Skaters can bring their own skateboards, or use equipment provided by the facility.

Staff say the space can be used by skaters of all different levels.

The skate park is open Thursdays through Sundays.
