Cuddly, plush koalas are taking over New York City all to raise awareness and money for those affected by the Australian bushfires that are sweeping the continent.
It's part of the ad agency Cummins and Partners' campaign, Koalas of NYC.
Many of the company's employees are from Australia and they started hanging the stuffed animals up earlier this month.
The koalas have tags that read "1 billion of the world's unique wildlife has died in the Australian bushfires" and they also have scannable codes so those interested in donating can do so right to the Koalas of NYC website.
That's a GoFundMe page the agency created to donate money to WIRES, the Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service, the largest wildlife rescue and rehabilitation charity in Australia.
So far, the GoFundMe page has raised more than $15,000.
The stuffed koalas are currently hanging not only in New York, but also in London.
The organizers say they will be expanding the campaign to another U.S. city.
