NYPD: Man follows woman into subway bathroom, attempts to sexually assault her

A man is wanted for attempting to sexually assault a woman in a Bay Ridge subway station, according to police.

A man is wanted for attempting to sexually assault a woman in a Bay Ridge subway station, according to police.
News 12 is told it happened in the bathroom inside the 95 Street R subway station around 10 a.m. Monday.
Police say the suspect followed a 31-year-old woman into the bathroom and started punching her in the face before trying to pull off her leggings.
 
Investigators say a passerby heard her screaming and looked into the bathroom, but the suspect closed the door and continued. Police say the passerby started banging on the door until the suspect came out and ran up the stairs.
The woman had bruising to her face and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Police have not yet released any surveillance video or images of the suspect.
They believe he was last seen wearing all black and had on a black ski mask.
