A Brooklyn man is taking on the world next month--all for a good cause.
Brian Cronin is running seven marathons on seven continents, as part of the World Marathon Challenge. This is all to raise $150,000 for the American Cancer Society.
Cronin will be starting on Feb. 6 in Antarctica. After making his mark in Antarctica, he will run six more marathons in six consecutive days in Cape Town, Perth, Dubai, Madrid, Fortaleza and Miami.
Cronin tells News 12 he's raising money for the American Cancer Society because cancer has greatly affected his family. He says he lost his mom to ovarian cancer and his aunt to breast cancer.
Cronin is an athlete with the American Cancer Society's endurance program, DetermiNation.
He says the funds he's raising can truly make a difference.
