Sources: Slain woman pushed out of car near Red Hook Houses was pregnant

Police say a woman’s body was found outside the Red Hook Houses early Wednesday morning.

Sources tell News 12 the woman whose body was found outside the Red Hook Houses early Wednesday morning was pregnant.
News 12 is told a witness told police they saw the body of a woman get pushed out a dark-colored Honda on Lorraine Street between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m.
Police say she lived in the area. Officers found the 27-year-old unconscious and unresponsive. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Sources told News 12 that the suspect was taken into custody in Suffolk County on Long Island and is being held at the 76th Precinct.
Investigators tell News 12 that it did not appear that she had any visible trauma to her body, and that the medical examiner will determine the exact cause of her death.
Police say they are waiting to notify her family before releasing her identity. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
