Police: Person opens fire at East New York barber shop, injuring 2 bystanders

Police are searching for the person who opened fire at an East New York barber shop Wednesday night.

Police are searching for the person who opened fire at an East New York barber shop Wednesday night.
Police tell News 12 the shooter may have been aiming for someone else inside a bodega on the corner of Montauk and Pitkin avenues.
Instead, News 12 is told a 32-year-old man was shot in the arm and a 25-year-old woman was shot in the back around 8:40 p.m. in a neighboring barber shop. They were both taken to the hospital and are expected to survive.
Police believe the suspected shooting got into a fight with someone in the deli, but left. They say he returned with a gun a began shooting. Police are investigating what the fight was about.
The shooter was seen fleeing down the street in dark-colored clothing.
