The city's Department of Transportation is conducting a study in hope of improving an intersection in Bay Ridge.
Brooklyn Community Board 10 says the intersection at Marine Avenue, Ridge Boulevard and 95th Street is dangerous and has seen multiple accidents.
DOT's study aims to possibly redesign the road and improve safety. They say between 2013 and 2017, five people were injured.
The manager at Community Board 10 says they receive numerous calls about accidents happening at the intersection, so they asked DOT to look into making improvements. Councilman Justin Brannan is also on board with the study.
A representative with the DOT says, "We are currently working on a design that improves safety for all users at the intersection of Marine Ave, Ridge BLVD, and 95th Street, and we plan to bring our proposal to the community board in the coming months."
