Police say a man has been charged in connection to a Friday night stabbing in Bed-Stuy.

Authorities say 65-year-old Israel Navarro is facing charges of attempted murder, assault, and three counts of criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say he attacked his ex-girlfriend, a 32-year-old woman who was found bleeding with multiple stab wounds on the steps of a Hancock Street building.

Police say she was rushed to a local hospital where she is still in critical condition.
