Brooklyn's first woman-owned boxing gym is officially open to the public.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony took place Tuesday for Jukebox in Park Slope.

Members at the gym learn all about boxing and some techniques that can useful to protect themselves.

The owner of the gym, Carrie Schechter, says they want to teach people how to fight and have a good time.

"No matter what goes on out there, here you are a star," Carrie Schechter says. "You are a champion, you are anything you want to be."

Jukebox is open seven days a week.
