Police: Employee chases suspect who stole $1,400 cellphone from Bushwick store

A worker chased after an alleged thief who robbed his cellphone store in Bushwick, police say.

A worker chased after an alleged thief who robbed his cellphone store in Bushwick, police say.
The incident happened inside Luigy Wireless on Myrtle Avenue near the corner of Linden Street at around 9:30 a.m. Friday.
The suspect took a cellphone that is worth about $1,400, according to police.
A worker then chased after the alleged thief after he ran out of the store.
Investigators say the suspect scratched the employee until he was able to free himself.
The employee was not seriously hurt.
Police are asking who recognizes the man in the surveillance video to call them.
