Marisa Marcellino is a reporter for News 12 Brooklyn. She loves everything about NYC and getting to explore the stories that make it tick everyday.
Marcellino has a bachelor's in urban studies from Columbia University and a master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She’s a Columbia athletics fan for life after captaining the women’s lacrosse team and graduating as the program’s all-time leading scorer.
Prior to News 12, Marcellino was an on-camera reporter and producer for NBC Sports, where she won an Emmy for her work on the Rio Olympics. She’s also worked in breaking news at CNN, Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly and FanDuel.
When she’s not on the Brooklyn beat, she’s coaching lacrosse or commentating games for her alma mater. In her life before journalism, she played and coached lacrosse in England as well as college lacrosse.
