Several people are hurt after flames tore through a building in Borough Park Wednesday.
According to officials, calls came in just after midnight for a fire inside 4714 New Utrecht Ave.
News 12 is told the fire appears to have started on the first floor and spread to the second and third floors.
More than 100 firefighters and EMS workers responded to the scene. It took crews about an hour and a half to get the flames under control.
"It was terrible. There was a lot of a smoke, it caused a lot of problems," says E. Quintanilla, of Borough Park.
News 12 is told at least six people were hurt and taken to area hospitals in stable condition.
The Red Cross says they will be providing displaced families with temporary housing and emergency financial assistance.
The fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
