Over the weekend, News 12 reported on a Coney Island business owner who was fighting to save her store after a massive rent increase. Now, the owner of Lola Star tells News 12 Mayor Bill de Blasio is helping her stay in business.

Over the weekend, News 12 reported on a Coney Island business owner who was fighting to save her store after a massive rent increase. Now, the owner of Lola Star tells News 12 Mayor Bill de Blasio is helping her stay in business.
The shop's owner says she called into the Ask The Mayor segment of The Brian Lehrer Show to express her disappointment and concerns. Later in the day, she heard from the commissioner of small businesses, who told her they're working to help save her from eviction.
Star tells News 12 that this is amazing news and she is feeling very hopeful.
