A mother from Vineland has been charged with assaulting a school bus driver, and the incident was caught on video as kids looked on.

According to police, the incident happened Tuesday morning in the Brewster Gardens apartment complex on East Chestnut Avenue.

Police say Ladia Lazzarini, 33, began arguing with the driver and the dispute soon became physical. Lazzarini allegedly pushed the driver in the chest with two open hands, her criminal complaint says.

In the video recorded by students on the bus, the parent can be heard accusing the driver of unsafe driving.

Lazzarini is also accused of threatening a student.

The driver and parent claimed minor injuries in the incident.

Lazzarini was charged with aggravated assault and released on a summons.

School officials say they are cooperating with the ongoing police investigation.
