Imark is a company that typically sells 3D printers and provides 3D printing services to customers, but because of the shortage, staff says they wanted to use their resources to help hospitals in need.
"I actually have friends who are nurses and doctors and they kind of were freaking out because they don't have any supplies. A lot of friends were like ‘oh can you give me at least one?’” said lead designer Andrew Chiang.
The company started a GoFundMe account to help with the cost of materials.
In a matter of days, they raised nearly $10,000. Staff says they want to urge people to help out in any way that they can.
