'Harry Potter' author JK Rowling to donate $1.25 million to those most vulnerable during COVID-19 pandemic

The author of "Harry Potter," J.K. Rowling, is donating $1.25 million to help those she says are most vulnerable during the coronavirus pandemic.
The author marked International Harry Potter Day and the Battle of Hogwarts on Twitter, writing that she felt it was inappropriate to talk about fictional deaths when so many in the real world are losing the COVID-19 battle.
Rowling announced that the money would aid charities that helped the homeless and victims of domestic abuse.
