New York City officials handing out more free face coverings at parks

New York City officials are continuing to hand out free masks at parks Sunday due to restrictions to keep people safe during the coronavirus pandemic.
The city says 100,000 face coverings will be handed out by Tuesday. All New Yorkers are required to cover their nose and mouth when they're out in public and can't stay 6 feet away from other people.
Since the start of social distancing practices, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations have gone down over the last few weeks.
The masks will be handed out at more than 50 park locations across all five boroughs.
Officials say they want to make sure there is no excuse for being near others without a face covering, which is why they are free.
