Community Board official, wife say they were unjustly arrested in Barclays melee

The deputy manager of Community Board 5 in Brooklyn says he and his wife were assaulted and wrongfully arrested while protesting the death of George Floyd Friday outside the Barclays Center.
Keron Alleyne and America Alleyne say they are going to take legal action against the officers who they say punched them, then arrested them.
"They threw me to the ground, punched me in my face, punched me in my side, because I was defending…my wife," said Keron Alleyne.

His wife says that police “took it upon themselves to push peaceful protesters” before they were attacked and arrested.
They say they were taken to Police Headquarters in Manhattan where they received a desk appearance ticket. They say they want action to be taken against the officer and for their names to be cleared.
The deputy manager says a ticket is minor compared to what the family of George Floyd is going through.
