Protests, marches, and vigils continued around the city Monday.
It is the 19th day of protests in Brooklyn, and organizers continued to bring people together at McCarren Park, calling it a daily march now.
Protesters started with a vigil where they remembered all the names of black Americans killed by police in recent years, including Breonna Taylor and George Floyd, who was killed in Minneapolis last month.
This was one of the many vigils and marches happening around the city, including Washington Square Park in Manhattan and Union Turnpike in Queens. They continue to call for police reform that includes defunding the NYPD.
