A shooting in Morrisania has left one man dead and another in critical condition, police say.

The incident took place in front of an apartment building on 1164 Franklin Ave. late Monday night.

Authorities say they arrived to the scene just after 10 p.m., where they discovered two men with multiple gunshot wounds.

News 12 is told a 34-year-old man was found unresponsive. When Emergency Medical Services arrived, they declared him dead on the scene.

Investigators say he was shot in the back and hip.

Another 34-year-old was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the torso.

News 12 is told the second victim is currently in critical condition.

Police have expanded their investigation into a parking lot nearby.

Authorities are still working on identifying the gunman. No arrests have been made.
