Police: Suspect opens fire on 2 people in East New York, killing 1

Police are searching for a suspect in connection to opening fire at two people near the corner of Stanley and Van Siclen avenues Friday night.

Police are searching for a suspect in connection to opening fire at two people near the corner of Stanley and Van Siclen avenues Friday night. 
News 12 is told a 27-year-old and a 17-year-old were both seated in a car around 4:15 p.m. when a white Mercedes Benz pulled up next to them and fired shots. 
News 12 is told nine rounds were fired. In an act of desperation, the 27-year-old victim headed into a bodega for help. 
That’s when News 12 is told officers tried to administer CPR before both men were taken to the hospital. 
The 27-year-old was pronounced dead, and the 17-year-old victim is expected to be OK. 
Police do not have an active description of the suspect at this time and say they fled the scene.
