A march organized at Herbert Von King Park made the effort to empower Black women Monday.
Protesters were seen with signs, and Black Lives Matter of Greater New York co-founder Chivona Newsome was a guest speaker.
Many say they will continue talking about what happened to George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, but that the focus of the rally was to talk about the kinds of challenges that come with being a Black woman in this country.
They say they want to bring those challenges to light.
Dozens of protests have been seen around the city in the last three weeks--stemming from the death of George Floyd.
Many of the protests are aimed at highlighting examples of police brutality, but Monday’s protest focused on ideas around institutionalized racism.
