Students celebrate Black History Month in Crown Heights

Students in Crown Heights honored Black History Month figures Monday and acknowledged the struggles many face today. They held a celebration of African-American heroes at Medgar Evers Preparatory School.

Students in Crown Heights honored Black History Month figures Monday and acknowledged the struggles many face today.
They held a celebration of African-American heroes at Medgar Evers Preparatory School.
Children also held a candlelight vigil to remember those recently killed in police-involved shootings.
The students say they have to remember the past and keep fighting in the present in order to change the future.
