A Sunset Park resident is battling the Department of Finance over a parking ticket that she says never should have been issued. Helen Dellaporte received a $95 ticket for parking in front of a garage. According to a letter from Community Board 7, the spot where she parked is not a legal driveway and should be available to park in front of. Dellaporte appealed the ticket, but it was to no avail.

A spokesperson for Councilwoman Sara Gonzalez says no other city agency can force the department to drop the ticket.
