Teen dead after hit-&-run on Flatlands Ave.
A Brooklyn teenager is dead following a hit-and-run on Flatlands Avenue last night.
Police say Davonte Jeffers, 14, was hit by a 2011 Ford Econoline van while crossing Flatlands Avenue near East 54th Street last night. Authorities say they caught the driver, 41-year-old Paul Griffin, a few blocks away.
Police say Griffin was arrested and charged following the incident, but more charges are possible following the teenager's death.
