Tenants of a Brooklyn apartment complex held a demonstration Monday amid fears their building could be sold.
Residents at 320 Sterling St. claim that the court promised them future ownership of their apartments, but now that the city owns the building, they fear that they will be forced to leave.
A spokesperson from the Department of Housing Preservation and Development says that the building is in fact part of a special program that will allow the tenants to eventually own their apartments.
