Terror attack in New Zealand prompts heightened security at NJ mosques
Security at mosques and places of worship around the state were heightened Saturday after 49 people were killed Friday in a mass shooting in New Zealand.
News 12 was at the Muslim Center of Greater Princeton in West Windsor where there was an increased police presence on Saturday morning.
The mosque has security cameras, fingerprint scanners and reflective glass inside the 30,000-square-foot facility.
The institution is celebrating their one-year anniversary Sunday. They say the event will still take place despite the attacks.
A prayer and memorial service for the victims of the New Zealand attack is scheduled for this evening at the Muslim Center.
