Former Yankees manager Joe Torre is set to release a tell-all book on Feb. 3, revealing his criticism of several people in the Yankees organization.
Torre, who is best known for leading the Yankees to four World Series Championships, titled the book ?The Yankee Years,? which is authored by Sports Illustrated writer Tom Verducci.
Torre, the current manager of the L.A. Dodgers, reportedly accuses Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman of betraying him on several fronts. Most notably, Torre sites Cashman as not being more on his side when the Yankees management reportedly forced him out of the door after the 2007 season.
However, most people seem to be focusing on comments Torre?s book makes about Alex Rodriguez. In the book, Torre calls Rodriguez something of a ?phony? and ?A-fraud.? It also spotlights Rodriguez?s competitiveness with Derek Jeter.
