A man accused of threatening and slashing a woman on the Brooklyn-bound 3 train has been arrested, police say.
They say 37-year-old Ras Alula Nagarit was arrested Thursday night.
Both the victim and Nagarit got into a verbal argument before getting on the train on Tuesday night, but police say things escalated when Nagarit allegedly told the victim "I will chop you up," then hit the woman with what witnesses described as a machete.
The woman was treated for a cut on her hand.
Police say Nagarit has been charged with felony assault.
